Investing in their reporting tool, Cognos, is paramount to driving this business forward ensuring the business is achieving its full capability.
Recruiting a Business Intelligence expert (either using Cognos or TM1) with a background in accounting who also has strong experience working with SAP is a key recruitment objective for the service delivery team. In essence the purpose of this role is to manage and improve the financial IT systems through improving the Cognos and BI processes. This role will be a direct link between IT and finance and also involve the management of the master data and providing support to the management accounting function. The maintenance and improvement of the Cognos system will allow for the division to achieve their planning and reporting requirements combined with ensuring changes made to SAP meet the Cognos business objectives. Other objectives of this position include the documentation process as knowledge is often lost as people transition through the business therefore this requires you to liaise with key stakeholders, understand their needs and objectives as well as write a process that will be followed company wide.
This role will assist a range of individuals perform their roles to their full capability therefore you will be required to liaise with multiple divisions and provide keys business support. You will have demonstrated a strong understanding of accounting, BI tools and have previously developed Cognos Reports.
