ABOUT the ROLE

Based on OpenStack technology, HP Helion Cloud OS is the world’s premier OpenStack based cloud technology platform for private, public, and hybrid cloud delivery. HP Helion Cloud is one of the fastest growing divisions within HP, building and delivering a portfolio of innovative OpenStack cloud solutions.



We are looking for OpenStack Cloud Consulting Principals to engage with our customers and help them begin and continue their OpenStack journey. You will be a highly experienced consultant with a deep understanding of enterprise Cloud solutions and of OpenStack functionality.







KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• As an OpenStack Cloud Consulting Principal you will engage with our enterprise customers to understand their business challenges and requirements in order to define the best OpenStack Cloud solution for them.


• Your responsibilities will include:
  
  
  
  • Working with senior customer representatives (up to, and including, C-level executives) to advise and guide on the overall solution
  
  
  • Providing input to the sales process and producing Statements of Work
  
  
  • Producing Strategy and Roadmap documentation, including Business Cases and ROI analysis
  
  
  • Discovering and understanding the customer’s requirements or business Problems
  
  
  • Developing the high level solution architecture in conjunction with the OpenStack Cloud Consulting Architect
  
  
  • Acting as the long-term engagement leader providing the customer with a single point of contact, whilst becoming the customer’s trusted advisor
  
  
  • Identifying opportunities for additional HP engagements
  
  
  • Maintaining knowledge of wider cloud technologies and concepts, including but not limited to OpenStack
  
  
  
  

Qualifications

** Location open to the US with preference to our HUB locations ***

Seattle, Sunnyvale, Fort Collins, San Antonio, Austin, New York and Atlanta.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 12 years' Enterprise experience


• Masters degree (or Bachelors degree & 3 years' additional experience)


• MBA desirable, or applicable business acumen


• Minimum 6 years' consulting experience


• Minimum 4 years' general Cloud experience, including consultancy towards; transformation, workload migration, performance analysis, HA, orchestration and automation


• OpenStack awareness


• Experience across multiple industry verticals


• Awareness of virtualization technologies


• Experience with alternate cloud technologies, for example: Amazon AWS & Microsoft Azure
