Senior/Principal Structural Engineer



My client is an International multidisciplinary Engineering consultancy who works closely with an increasingly diversified range of clients to help visualise and achieve their goals with commitment, integrity and innovation. They are looking to recruit a Senior/ Principal Structural Engineer in their Cardiff office to provide Structural Engineering capabilities in an enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated manner. You will need to support the Office Director, Associate Directors and other Principal/Senior Engineers and Consultants in the briefing, tendering, consultation, design, implementation and management processes for construction projects of varying size and nature.



Currently the Structures team is working on a variety of projects including; commercial and office buildings as well as schools and hospital projects. This role will require you to; Plan and manage projects effectively and efficiently; to include development of Project concepts, inputs, outputs, implementation activities, verification and technical review. You will need to; undertake investigations and inspections and develop solutions to clients' problems by applying appropriate analysis techniques.



The ideal person will have experience in; Design preparation, technical reports, presentations, specifications, contract documentation and be conversant in 3D and finite element analysis/modelling and have knowledge of Autodesk Robot, BIM, Revit and all relevant technical standards, legislation, codes of practice and best practice in areas of competence.



This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chartered engineer with over 10 years in a consultancy, who is looking for the opportunity to get involved in the management and commercial development of large successful team.
