Commercial Product Marketing Intern

High-level year-round internship will work with the product management team to help define product feature set, roadmap and action plans that will drive HP to be a market leader.
This position will be responsible for any of the following parts of Product Marketing ecosystem inclusive of identify emerging trends, pain points, key use cases, and potential product gaps and then provide guidance and recommendations to influence the product roadmap and key innovation initiatives. Further details are as follows:
· Analyze data from various sources to assess gaps, opportunities and identify solutions to better enhance HP commercial devices
· Through research, customer feedback and collaboration with the insights team provided a detailed analysis on a customer pain point and how to best address this pain point
· Assist with and advise on research studies to enhance the HP offering
· Drive high-level positioning of “mobile” devices to clearly articulate the key selling point of the product as well as how it delivers over the competition
· Devise a framework to best classify new ideas into specific buckets for rationalization
· Messaging consistency across deliverables inclusive of key selling points, MRD’s, product presentations, customer presentations, etc…
In addition, you will help the product management team resolve key strategic and tactical issues for various software product categories and initiatives.
This is a master's level year-round internship located in Houston, TX. HP may not provide work sponsorship for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate Requirements:
· MBA in progress
· Ability to draw clear conclusions from data.
· Excellent writing, time management, and interpersonal skills
· Good presentation skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Fluent in English
Qualifications:
· Team-oriented self-starter able to work with different personalities and professional styles
· In depth knowledge of marketing elements (product, pricing, promotion, and positioning)
· Interest in Product Marketing fundamentals (customer, analytics, etc…)
· Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
· Passion for technology and working knowledge of life cycle for technology products
· Excellent organization skills with an attention to detail
