ASIC Design Engineer- Mixed Signal/Analog

Are you interested in designing and developing unconventional, creative and novel solutions for some of the challenges in sensing and control of power and energy storage systems? This is an opportunity to show and prove your talent.
In this position, you will help design and develop world-class analog and mixed signal ICs for various applications in power conditioning and energy storage. Your expertise and experience in developing novel and creative design ideas will help drive newer levels of performance required for future hardware platforms.
Key Qualifications
- •Design Mixed Signal blocks for mobile applications
- •Good documentation skills
- •Define and implement macro-level measurement and control blocks
- •Familiarity with AHDL or Verilog-a preferred but not required
- •Familiarity with Verilog and/or VHDL
- •Familiarity with Delta Sigma data conversion a must
- •Design of Delta-sigma converters a plus
- •Ability to design, debug, simulate and release designs using Cadence ASIC Design tools
Description
The candidate should have a recent working knowledge in the following disciplines:
•Hands-on transistor-level custom ASIC design and development.
•Bandgap design - Low Power - low drift (< 50ppm) design
•Bias circuits – design and familiarity with issues associated with bias networks.
•Amplifier design – Operational Amplifiers and Operational transconductance amplifiers
•On chip Charge pumps
•On chip LDOs and stabilization issues
•Packaging/bonding definition
•Mixed Signal Test pattern generation
•ASIC Layout skills a big plus
•Ability to design, debug, simulate and release designs using Cadence ASIC Design tools
Education
•BSEE [MSEE highly preferred] with focus on microelectronics
Additional Requirements
•Strong aptitude towards detailed design work with emphasis on finalizing design concepts for mass production
•Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
•Ability to work with other engineering teams to arrive at a suitable overall design
•Excellent written and verbal skills a must
•Strong process oriented work culture
•Self-starter with excellent time management skills
•Relies on data to justify technical decisions
•Ability to clearly explain technical issues
•Ability to clearly justify technical decisions
•Competent in productivity tools and Mac based work environment
