Software Engineer (Oracle Java C++) Aberdeen Proving Ground MD Secret Clearance required

The objective of the SSES NexGen contact is to provide a full range of data engineering support from system development through post production sustainment to ensure standards compliance and interoperability is maintained . CSC would support the Army Data Management Program’s goal of a net-enabled environment that gives decision makers access to authoritative data in a timely and secure manner working at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, USA, at both government and contractor facilitates.
Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to, application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Develops data-centric solutions that achieve the Army’s objective for a net-enabled environment. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the application of Scrum development and agile life cycle methodologies.
General Responsibilities:
Skilled in developing data services integration and interoperability applications that comply with United States Military Standards (MIL-STDs) across the software development life cycle common to the JINTACCS (Joint Interoperability of Tactical Command and Control Systems) family of standards messages. Ensures that test tools comply with applicable MIL-STDs. Moreover, develops advanced analytics capabilities based on the Oracle database environment, emphasizing user-experience (UX) design using Oracle OAA, OBIEE, OEID technologies. Skilled in using Oracle PL/SQL, Java, and C++ languages.
Functional Responsibilities:
1. Provide a full range of software engineering support for the development of the Army/DoD data-centric solutions and data-management products;
2. Develop test tools that meet U.S. MIL-STD compliance;
3. Develop solutions critical for data and information exchanges;
4. Conduct software releases delivered IAW approved release schedules;
5. Participate as a member of agile Scrum development teams; and
6. Conduct test for functional and non-functional compliance
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
- Three or more years of experience in software engineering or operating systems programming
- Experience working with design and coding languages
- Experience working with software design principles
- Experience working with computer hardware
Other Qualifications- Good analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of software
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and senior support personnel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
