An opportunity exists for a seasoned Business Development Consultant to be part of the Technology Services Singapore team to drive business growth in the Storage hardware and services solution by building and reinforcing client’s perception of HP capability to delivery support as a service.


Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Strong technical knowledge on Storage hardware and services solution.

  • Develop the business plan and drive opportunity for support as a service.

  • Capable to pull resources from different team together to deliver the business plan.

  • Rigorously qualify and maximize opportunities for active pursuit based on the probability of success and the intelligent allocation of HP’s resources.

  • Continually build and reinforce client’s perception of HP capability to delivery support as a service.

  • Consultatively position HP in early deals to influence client strategy.

  • Develop and champion the business justification for complex service solutions to ensure a successful engagement.

  • Educate account team about HP Services (HPS) in service solutions to increase their understanding and appreciation of its contribution to overall client account retention and HP’s profitability.

  • Help sales team to position the value of the support service program.

  • Drive programs to grow Attached services through different route to market (direct/indirect).

  • Participate in representing the organization to other businesses within HP and to external clients.

  • Provide direction and guidance to process improvement and establishing policies.

  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and methodology.








Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent.


• Typically 10 to 15 years in Services or Solution business – Sales/Channel, Business Development or Engagement.


• Drive project negotiation, proposal development and management, sales and opportunity building.


• Good knowledge of HP service product, solution or offering as well as competitor's offering.


• Understand and apply program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure successful pursuit.


• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention and growth and to position HP as the preferred vendor for meeting all business needs.


• Strong business acumen and understand how to leverage HP’s portfolio and change the playing field on the competitors.


• Maintain expertise of industry trends, associated solutions and key partners.


• Strong communication and presentation skills.
