JOB DESCRIPTION



Working within the Client Services team the Project Manager will provide and implement high-level technical solutions within major enterprises using established processes and project delivery methodologies. This role requires skills and experience related to cloud computing, applying a business and technology model for delivering and acquiring IT services in a utility-like fashion.



The role has a major component that is client facing and the Project Manager is instrumental in forming the customer's impression of ServiceMesh’s capability to deliver and integrate complex solutions, working to an agreed future state IT Operating model strategy.



The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the project governance and frameworks to be implemented to the project teams.



The Project Manager will be responsible for the maintaining the relationship between the field region and ServiceMesh Products Development and Field Engineering teams. They will be required to actively participate in preparing, reviewing and approving the content of Servicemesh Statements of Work.



The Project Manger will be responsible for internal /external business requirements & manage project plans, including budget; resources; schedule; risk assessment, and communications.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



• Lead cross functional SMI and client staff in installing, configuring and testing our solution at customer's facilities

• Responsible for internal /external business requirements & manage project plans, including budget; resources; schedule; risk assessment, and communications

• Analyze business requirements and solutions design to identify needs for a service-specific operating model: staffing, processes, support systems

• Review current ITIL processes and identify changes necessary to support a computing on demand (cloud computing) technology deployment

• Identify and document requirements for migration to a more agile support model leveraging process automation where possible

• Supervise Solutions Architects and Engineers

• Interface with internal and outsourced support groups to understand specific organizational hand-off points and the requirements for smooth process flow

• Where necessary, develop user training presentations or materials to assist in communicating the new operating model

• Document the business and functional requirements for any tools implementation or integration work following mandated documentation templates and review/approval procedure

• Able to resist pressures to increase or alter defined scope of a project while maintaining client satisfaction

• Able to focus on deliverables and due dates, overcoming obstacles to ensure 100% on-time delivery



QUALIFICATIONS



• Demonstrated ongoing competency in the management of large projects that include multiple large complex work packages

• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of resources

• Cloud computing/solutions experience

• XML and JavaScript programming

• Application virtualization

• Application packaging in an enterprise environment

• Certified in ITIL v3, PMBOK or Prince 2 standards

• Extensive experience in managing managed services solutions

• Demonstrated ability and a proven record of working with clients and 3rd party vendors at Senior & Executive Management level



Qualifications:



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred

  • Eight or more years of project planning/management experience

  • Experience working with project management methodology such as Catalyst including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices

  • Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness

  • Experience working with administrative processes

  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors

  • Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area

  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases

    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients

    • Strong communication skills

    • Skilled in estimating and common project management desktop tools

    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change

    • Willingness to travel
