Apple's Mac Touch team is looking for a talented senior analog IC designer with a track record working in areas of analog and mixed signal ASIC design. The candidate will help architect and define custom ICs for the next generation of Mac touch solutions. This includes DC-DC converters, analog sensors, low noise amplifiers, high voltage drivers, PWM current drivers and etc. Candidate will be working closely with a talented team of system designers to create custom silicon that will further improve the competitive advantage of our input devices in terms of performance, power and cost.



Key Qualifications




  • Candidate must have direct experience in analog and mixed signal design and possess deep knowledge of touch technology.

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to guide critical decisions

  • Good understanding of thermals, mechanical and packaging challenges.

  • Strong knowledge of high volume manufacturing technologies and production variance

  • Adept at the use of Spice and behavioral simulation tools, Matlab, MathCad and Excel mathematical analysis.

  • Deep knowledge of silicon physics and silicon processes including IC packaging technologies is esssential

  • Strong familiarity with challenges of mixed-signal ICs design.

  • Knowledge and experience with both analog and digital design with an emphasis on analog.

  • Strength of the complete methodology of mixed-signal IC from a concept to a product.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with innovation, integrity and attention to details, bility to work well with cross-functional teams is extremely important

  • Proven track record of working in fast paced innovative work environment

  • Ideal candidate has experience in touch controllers, semiconductor/silicon companies, and computer industry.

  • Occasional overseas travel as needed is required

  • Candidate should be very familiar with various topology and architecture and their trade-offs between performance, power and cost.

  • Experience in IC architecting is strongly preferred.
