Our client, a large growing organisation, is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Glasgow. Your role will be to support the development and implementation of specific procurement strategies involving technical knowledge to obtain value for money and sustainable cost reductions from expenditure on goods, services and works. The purchase areas include engineering equipment and services contracts.

You will be responsible for managing a large project (approx £150 million) so this is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience and take your career forward in procurement.





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the tender process for contracts


• Support and coordination on the evaluation stage for bids for tenders


• Negotiation and agreement on contracts' terms and conditions


• Check pricing against framework agreements, previous references and market practice


• Assist with management of all aspects of the supplier relationship in order to mitigate risk


• Maintain database on the status of orders issued and obtain reports, which includes the use of SAP


• Analyse procurement expenditure and identity synergies across the region/portfolio

Our client is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual with experience in procuring services related to engineering and construction alongside experience of delivering commercial contracts and managing negotiation processes. Knowledge of NEC3 or FIDIC contract models would be beneficial but not essential.
