Senior Manager, Accounting Policy

Our client, a major bank is looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Senior Manager into their Group Accounting and Policies and Standards to support a team of 6 reporting into the Head of Policy team supporting the breadth of the function. This is a rare opportunity and key appointment.



Someone at this level will handle the most complex or broad accounting and disclose issues, involving interaction with the business, finance and risk management units.

• The most technically complex issues


• Highly judgemental areas (confirming such judgements with Head of Group Accounting Policy)


• Specialist industry areas (e.g. Capital Markets; Insurance)


• Wider business issues requiring extensive collaboration with business, finance or risk management functions


• You will be able to provide guidance and coaching to less experienced members of the team.
  
  
  
  Our client is one of the largest and most diversified financial services groups in terms of both business type and geography. This add significantly to the complexity of the accounting issues that need to be analysed, the volume of financial reports that need to be compliant, and the deadlines by which matters need to be resolved.
  
  
  
  Candidates will undoubtedly have excellent technical knowledge but also want to implement their ideas and add value.
  
  
  
  Candidates must be qualified ACA/ACCA.
