This local government organisation is committed to improving South East Queensland by maintaining consistently high standards of service to benefit the local community.



They currently seeking an experienced Animal Management Officer to join their animal & pest services department for an initial contract for 2.5 - 3 months, to cover a vacant position whilst permanent recruitment processes are underway.



Your key duties will be to conduct inspections/investigations in response to customer requests, conduct the impounding of wandering domestic animals and livestock, conduct patrols of designated areas and throughout maintain detailed notes for evidence purposes and prepare outcomes in terms of community education and awareness.



The successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of animal husbandry and control, understanding of animal disease transmission and prevention methods, kennel and facility operations and a proven ability to conduct inspections and investigations.



Required immunisations: HEP A, HEP B and Tetanus.
