To manage the procurement of individual specialist categories of spend to deliver significant cost savings and quality and service level improvements
Develop coherent Category Management Procurement Strategies within the overall Procurement Strategy
To review and monitor supplier performance and report to key stakeholders
Supporting the building of best practice governance via template creation and rolling out to both internal and external stakeholders. Support the production of key management information on monthly basis on use of consulting providers to senior stakeholders.
Support Supplier Management activities to effectively measure capability and delivery.
Build excellent relationships with key internal business partners and be able to challenge business.
Key Skills
Category Management experience essential
Graduate level education, with post-graduate or relevant professional qualifications an advantage.
Sector experience not a pre requisite, but must be comfortable to excel in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to work flexibly and be willing to apply their skills and knowledge across a broad range of projects and activities as required Must have strong interpersonal and influencing skills up to Executive level.
Ability to maintain a careful eye for detail even when under the strictest deadlines in an incredibly fast paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy and to plan and prioritise workload.
