Role Summary


The Application Services Account Executive is accountable for driving incremental sales in the Application Services arena on existing assigned accounts. Typically, the Application Services Account Executive is targeted to a single client but may include multiple geographies or types of work. The Account Executive will work under the sponsorship of the Client Account Lead. A typical Account Executive assigned to an account will have:



  • A technology delivery background with strong client-facing skills

  • Previous experience in any of the top IPPs or equivalent, with particular exposure to leveraging a similar model to drive growth

  • Extensive work experience in a global delivery centre and at client sites

  • Deep knowledge of IPP strategies and prior work experience in the IPP competitive landscape


Further, the Account Executive will have the ability to:



  • Articulate Accenture's value proposition to the client (educating the client about the efficiencies our tools and accelerators)

  • 'Package' unstructured pieces of work into an outlined scope

  • Discuss contractual and commercial constructs of relevant deals

  • Rapidly respond to tactical resource requirements along with an ability to address small to mid-sized projects with technical proposals


Expectations from an Account Executive



  • Drive incremental sales under the sponsorship of the Client Account Lead (CAL) and the Operating Group (OG) Application Services Lead, with a focus on growing the Application Services business

  • Be 50% chargeable to projects and 50% on business development in Year 1 and aim to be fully funded by project from year 2

  • Generate additional revenue as agreed with the CAL and the OG Application Services Lead

  • Develop and manage client relationships at the mid-management levels (below the CXO) to identify business requirements and define service requirements for new services

  • Leverage Global Delivery Network (GDN) capabilities to influence resourcing strategies

  • Work closely with the CAL, and the GDN to commit to the scope of work, schedule and cost

  • Manage the operational and financial performance of the incremental sales on account

  • Participate in account planning and forecasting activities






Up to £100,000 base plus commission
