Business System and Process Analyst, EDI

This role is part of the Pacific Ops System & Process Function to drive EDI onboarding activities and projects. You will be the advisor and assist the functional business managers/users to drive for continual business and systems process improvement in the system interface space. You will also ensure there is process integration across the organization, both regionally (across Japan, Australia and Asia Pacific) and globally. You must be able to develop good, up to date knowledge of operational best practices and IT capabilities to support the Apple business, with special focus on B2B activities with external partners e.g freight forwarders / 3PLs, channel customers and OEMs.



Key Qualifications

• SAP System and process savvy


• Good process re-engineering skills


• Strong Project Management experience


• Excellent operation issue resolution skill


• Excellent people and communication skills


• Good teamwork attitude


• Experience working in EDI specifications & schema (e.g. X12, EDIFACT, XML and flat file), business process development and support


• Extensive knowledge of Project Management methodology


• Good understanding and experience mapping between EDI and SAP IDOC formats


• Experience working with VAN and / or Supplier Network


• Experience with various communication protocols (AS2, FTP/SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS)


• Experience with web services (a plus)


• EAI integration experience (a plus)


• Consulting experience will be an advantage

Description



Advisor to functional business managers/users in deriving for best practices/processes and IT capabilities to support the various iPhone & iPad Routes to market, primarily the Telecom Carriers.

Devise and implement in partnership with business users, Freight Forwarders, 3PL Warehouse, Apple OEM’s, IS&T business and system solutions that meet the changing business conditions.

Project manages cross-functional re-engineering implementations.

Drive for effective change management when necessary.

Ensure process integration across organization, both regionally and globally.

Develop good, up-to-date knowledge of IT capabilities and able to work closely with IS&T.

Work within the business (cross functionally and cross regions) to document and gain final approval for the Business Requirements.

Work with the Business Process Owner to enhance the Business Processes to meet the Business Requirements.

Articulate the Business Requirements to the IS&T Consultants and assist in the formulation of a prototype or proof of concept solution.

Work with the IS&T Consultants to design the final solution to meet the requirements.

Lead & manage the User acceptance test and implementation of the business change and supporting systems change across Apple Pacific.

Validate the ROI was met post implementation.



Education



Degree holder (Business Process related preferred) plus minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in projects/proces
