Financial Controller

Hereford, United Kingdom, GB - Accounting

Hays Senior Finance are currently recruiting exclusively for a privately owned SME based in Herefordshire, Ledbury. You will be an experienced, hands on, Group Financial Controller taking on the responsibly of the day to day running of the finance function, assuring the financial controls are adhered to throughout the group of companies.



A manufacturing background with multi-currency would be of benefit, but not essential.



You will be responsible for:



- Group financial controller responsible for the legal and compliance of the company accounts

- Responsibility for Group and LLP accounts and liaison with Auditors

- Group VAT returns and VAT compliance

- P11ds Compliance

- Currency cash-flow and treasury

- Maintenance of finance facilities and liaison with bank including provision of information required

- Oversee preparation of group management account / inter-company journal

- Budgets and forecasting and depreciation schedules

- Over see 2 members of staff



You will also be responsible for managing the IT, Facilities and HR functions of the business leading it to be a very diverse, interesting position.



Suitable candidates will have an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, have a strong financial accounting background and be ambitious and driven to progress your career as a qualified accountant. This role as the potential to lead onto the company FD position, with a long 3-5 year plan of getting onto the board.
