Hays Recruitment have been retained by a leading NI contractor in their recruitment of a Bid Coordinator. Established over 60 years ago this large main contractor has been involved in landmark projects across the Province. Working on projects including commercial buildings, mixed-use buildings, and residential developments, their project values will reach up to £7m in value. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor that is pursuing increased development and expansion of their project portfolio across Ireland and the UK.
Role
You will be degree educated in a construction-related discipline, and will have at least 2 years of experience in a business development or bid administration role. You will have excellent IT skills, well-developed report writing skills, and a sound knowledge of the tendering process. As Bid Coordinator you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality prequalification and tender quality submissions for the commercial, mixed-use, and residential development sectors of construction. The successful Bid Co-ordinator will work very closely with the Bid Manager and Director, reporting to both on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
· Coordination and completion of both PQQs and quality tender responses including liaising with the estimating department ensuring a fully compliant submission.
· Liaise with internal departments such as Health & Safety, Environmental etc regarding their input as and when required.
· Further develop the bid marketing strategy to coincide with current brand values and growth strategy.
· Visit existing and prospective sites and identify aspects to support submissions.
· Preparation of marked up drawings / photographs edited to convey specifics of submissions
· Administer procurement site registrations, alerts and submissions.
· Maintain a library of current & accurate corporate information for inclusion in bids & tenders.
· Ensure that post-tender client feedback is obtained & recorded.
· Provide high quality presentation material for interviews and public events on behalf of the Group.
