Description:
The primary responsibility of the Category Product Line Manager is to ensure the profitable growth of your product line in the APJ region. You will do this by ensuring that all aspects of your product line value proposition are clearly understood and communicated to the regional and country segment, business development, channel and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the product and competitive expert and primary advocate for your product line, product strategy; business plan and product line P&L and will represent the WW GBU to the countries.
• In charge of new product introductions and positioning, pricing strategies, deal support, and the delivery of training and tools to support the sales process in each country.
• Responsible for specific solution partner relationships in the region and ensure that there is timely feedback on customer needs back to the GBU.
• Working with the Country Sales teams, GBU resources, and the Regional Solution Architects, as well as Regional Supplies, Service, Finance and Operations teams.
• Involved in supporting the country teams in driving deals to closure as well as in ensuring successful delivery, installation and revenue recognition.
Key Metrics
• Delivering Target Product Margin – Ensuring that margin targets are met or exceeded by clearly communicating and supporting the product line value proposition through competitive and market analysis and product positioning by country market as required. In addition you will develop a sophisticated understanding of APJ customer needs.
• Meeting or exceeding target margin by product. VOC process.
• Supporting Sales, Leading Deal Teams as Required and Ensuring Revenue Recognition – You will align country sales team/channel partners; Regional Solutions Architect plus people from Supplies, Service, Finance, Operations and Segment Marketing as required to ensure that deals are won, delivered and recognized. You will also play an important role in ensuring the overall level of the Total Customer Experience.
• Meeting or exceeding unit volume and revenue targets by product. Customer TCE scores.
• NPI and ongoing country selling effectiveness – Defining with country sales and segment management the needs in each country and then developing and executing a plan for delivering NPI information and training as well as tools and product training to meet those needs.
• Quarterly tools and product training plan with clear deliverables and metrics for implementation by the Regional and Country Solutions Architects, Regional Segment Managers or GBU resources.
Qualifications
Education:
• Technical university or Bachelor preferred or equivalent experience
Skills and Abilities required
• Ability to lead, manage and communicate in a complex, multi-language, multi-cultural environment.
• 4-10 of hands on experience working on digital or offset printers.
• 4-10 years of experience performing a farmer and a hunter role in the printing environment.
• 4-10 years of experience working in a matrix driven business.
• 4-10 years of project management experience (preferred)
• Must be able to combine a business perspective with a drive to win deals.
• A relentless focus on execution.
• Excellent time management skills and a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to work respectfully in a team environment, yet able to complete tasks individually.
• Energy, drive and an intense desire to win.
