In order to drive this continued success through our talented workforce, we have an exciting opportunity for Business Development Consultant and in this position, you will be part of the Technology Services Singapore team to develop program and drive to meet the Contract business objective as well as to create substantiating winning value proposition that meets customer needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop program to drive and meet the Contract business targets.
- Possess and apply knowledge of service solutions to address clients’ business problems and needs by recommending and work on diverse and complex projects or projects by selecting the appropriate HP’s support services portfolio.
- Ability to identify opportunity and develop upsell services program to increase the market share in the account.
- Work closely with sales to profile and identify potential target accounts for upsell opportunity.
- Execute service recovery plans and program to address shortfalls in service orders and revenue in the Installed base business.
- Joint plan with other business units on marketing promotion and position service to customers in HP installed base, channels and competitive space.
- Review and revise on a regular basis the current pricing strategies and develop new pricing strategies to balance: competitiveness, increase new business and price correlation between package support and annuity business.
- Review and revise the current discount strategies and/or develop supplement local country programs to bridge the foreseeable gap to the targets.
- Lead the development of new processes and /or enhancement of existing process for the purpose of capturing business opportunities and closing business gaps.
- Ensure that pricing is competitive and correlate between upfront and contract.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 7 to 8 years in business development and management and/or Contract experience.
• Drive project negotiation, proposal development and account planning.
• Good knowledge of HP service product, solution or offering as well as competitor's offering.
• Understand and apply program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure successful pursuit.
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention and growth and to position HP as the preferred vendor for meeting all business needs.
• Strong business acumen and understand how to leverage HP’s portfolio and change the playing field on the competitors.
• Maintain expertise of industry trends, associated solutions and key partners.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
