My client are a successful local building contractor based in the orpington area. Specialising in Social housing new build schemes. They have continued to expand in a controlled manner over the past 3 years and are now seeking a Buyer to supplement the busy commercial team.



Typically working on projects from £1 - 5 million, sites are spread across South East London and Croydon. There are currently 8 live projects with this due to increase to 10 by the summer accelerating the need for additional staff.



As a buyer you will be working as part of a 4 man commercial team, reporting to the Director. You will Play a vital role in helping to ensure the profitability of contracts by purchasing the most cost effective and appropriate materials in line with building regulations. You will also Liaise closely with the estimator at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided. A key element to the role will be negotiating with a range of suppliers to ensure the best deal.



All levels of experience will be considered but ideally the role will suit those with at least 5 years buying experience in the construction industry. Developer or Contracting backgrounds will be considered,
