The demand for ever more challenging science from our visiting scientists requires the availability of advanced, reliable and flexible IT infrastructure tools to support their work. These tools cover many areas including instrument control, data acquisition, scientific analysis, user administration and supporting business processes. We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to contribute to our success who can maintain, support and administer our computer systems and infrastructure.



You will engage in a mixture of high-level support, providing infrastructure and network maintenance to the Oxford site, supporting more than 1000 users; taking true ownership of all servers, networking and system support, including upgrades and patching where necessary.



As a core member of the team, your success is driven by your proven track record in 3rd line Infrastructure support - ideally with an emphasis on Windows & Linux domain design, administration, testing and support. Strong setup and management skills of server/farms, with exposure to SAN design, administration, testing and support are crucial.
