A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing Financial Services organisation in Edinburgh as a Category Specialist. You will work across a number of category teams in the organisation and assist in the development and implementation of category strategies and deliver value for money whilst minimising risk to the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to get experience across category and progress your career in a fast paced environment.





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Proactively engage with key stakeholders across the business to influence and challenge business requirements, promote procurement best practise and ensure compliance to policy.



Develop and deliver the category strategy you are responsible for, whilst supporting the Senior Category Manager to inform and deliver the wider strategy.



Bring your market knowledge and procurement expertise to help shape business requirements.



Promote and enforce procurement policy and best practise at all stages.



Proactively monitor, manage and escalate issues and risks.



Build and maintain good working relationships with strategic suppliers.



Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders.



Work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to bring innovation to the business.



Utilise negotiation skills to deliver a value for money contracts and strategies.





Our client is seeking a self-motivated procurement professional with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills in the private sector. Experience managing a diverse range of commodities is beneficial but not essential.
