Job Purpose



The University is devising a new programme and strategy for IT and are now recruiting for a new Director of IS and Technology. As a key decision maker you will lead the execution and continuous development of the University's strategic development of the IT infrastructure to meet the University's requirements and business objectives.



Embarking on a strategic change within IT, the University is now seeking an experienced IT Director to head the IS & Technology Group. As the lead decision maker, you will provide direction in a programme of continuous development for IT Infrastructure, IS and business objectives.



Job Responsibilities



Managing the IS and Technology department and teams, ensuring they provide an excellent IT service to all staff and students. You will oversee the support to faculties and departments for the smooth running and overall improvement to the student experience delivered by IT for the purpose of enhancing the student experience. Prepare, manage and monitor IT budgets. Take responsibility for all aspects of the IT security and disaster recovery plans for the University's IT systems. One key project you will immediately focus on is the implementation of a new ITIL system.



Core Skills



Higher Education or Public Services industry experience.

ITIL Practitioner preferred or foundation.

Degree Qualification or equivalent.

Professional qualification in IT/IT&S.

Project Management Qualification

Strong people management.

'Hands on' technical approach.



Competitive salary package of up to £70,000.



30 days annual leave plus closure over the Christmas period and bank holidays
