Senior Mechanical Engineer

HAYS Recruitment has partnered with our client, an international renewable energy company, to recruit a top tier Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee all engineering operations for their renewable energy sites (i.e. wind, hydro and solar facilities).



The mechanical engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing new preventative maintenance programs; advising contractors and overseeing all construction/maintenance of all renewable energy sites; research new technologies and designs to reduce risk and maximize potential energy generation; Project manage all design and commission of the engineering projects; Work alongside management to review and negotiate contracts with sub-contractors .



The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience as a field engineer; experienced commissioning and project management in the construction industry; have strong leadership skills while working with a multidisciplinary team; knowledgeable in all Microsoft office software; Registered as a P.Eng in Ontario; Knowledge and experience in renewable energy technologies is considered a strong asset.
