HP ES has Storage and Backup Recovery Centre in South Australia committed to supporting the HP Service Delivery model by providing proven, innovative and best practice processes, standards and methodologies to deliver superior service to our Clients.

Located at Lockleys, you will be a part of a rapidly growing department, working on crucial projects for major HP clients. You will get the opportunity to leverage HP capabilities in storage ensuring our clients receive experienced technical knowledge in storage and data protection technologies and services, through the application of subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business and technical issues within established guidelines.

As a part of this friendly and co-operative team, you will:

• Provide technical support on storage solutions


• Support HP Client Account Teams as required with post-sales support for storage support and services.


• Implement detailed storage designs based on project needs


• Review future designs for technical supportability within existing team capability


• Provide guidance for other storage and backup support personnel.


• Provide specialist technical support for delivery team(s).


• Implement new and expansions of storage allocations


• Maintain working relationships with vendors of storage products supported by HP Enterprise Services Delivery teams


• Manage Storage Reporting Tools and Management Consoles

5+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of 2 years with Enterprise storage technologies with experience developing and implementing enterprise storage solutions and Experience with multiple vendor’s storage products. Certification in enterprise storage tools and software would be highly desirable as would Enterprise experience in HP3 PAR, HDS VSP, AMS and Cisco or Brocade Fabric switches.

Critical competencies

Ideal candidates for Storage Specialist would have:

• Demonstrated use of a service management toolset within the ITIL framework


• Experience with implementing reporting and automation


• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision


• Demonstrated experience with delivering process documentation and ongoing continuous improvement


• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently in a challenging and dynamic environment


• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients


• Experience with disaster recovery strategies


• Demonstrated ability in solving both common and complex technical problems

We have roles that will involve working on both State and Federal Government accounts. For Roles based at Lockleys, we will require Australian citizenship and mandatory eligibility to meet Security Clearance requirements.
