Scrum Master

We are currently recruiting for a Scrum Master.



The Scrum Master will be responsible for Scrum Master a development team, taking end to end responsibility for the delivery of a defined backlog. You will manage a team with a variety of skill and be responsible for the end to end delivery of a schedule of work.



Responsibilities;



- Removal of any blockages for the Scrum Team

- Transparent reporting of key issues and progress

- Facilitation of all of the key Scrum framework meetings

- Management of communication between the team and project stakeholders

- Working with external teams (internal and out-sourced) to ensure the highest possible quality of service and delivery

- Coaching of team members in the Scrum methodology as well as championing the methodology to external teams and stakeholders

- Manage a team of business analysts, developers, and testers, in the maintenance, design, production, and quality assurance of code for use in my clients products

- Manage the work schedule and plan resources to achieve optimum utilisation

- Support, guide and mentor team members to achieve optimum personal performance and assist with career development

- Contribute to the co-ordination of design, solution architecture, quality assurance, implementation and release in support of my clients I products

- Problem solve key, complex issues as they arise and recommend options



Skills and experience;



- Extensive industry application of an agile methodology (ideally Scrum)

- Background in hands-on software development, business analysis, or testing

- Practical experience of all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle

- Proven track record for task management and mentoring other team members

- Proven line management experience

- Experience of application development in a complex, high performance SOA environment

- Knowledge of quality assurance techniques and practices

- General Insurance / financial services industry knowledge

- Extensive experience of delivery and release processes to a highly available commercial environment
