Oracle Functional Analyst

My client, a major Irish employer, has a permanent job opportunity for an Oracle Functional Analyst to join their Shared Service Centre which will focus on transactional activities in the remit of Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and Facilities. The successful candidate will join a growing, innovative employer in a dynamic and modern place to work with over 1000 employees.
Reporting to the Functional Specialist, as the Oracle Functional Analyst you will be responsible for the Analysis, Development, Modification and Maintenance of all aspects of Oracle eBusiness suite processes and systems. You may also be required to provide support to other financial and HR systems as required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide functional expertise with regard to Oracle EBS solutions
* Analysis of Oracle processes and features to determine the best solution to meet business requirements
* Document, design, build and deliver those functional solutions for agreed business requirements.
* Provide support to the business on current application functionality
* Work with other members of the Oracle Apps Team to troubleshoot Application or technical issues
* Tracking and Resolving escalated support calls with Oracle /3rd Parties
* Providing timely information to guide planning and development of solutions/projects
* Reporting on information security risks to senior management and managing the response to any incidents which may arise
* Inputting to IT continuity and DR plans
* Providing awareness and competency of Oracle Modules and Products across project teams
* Promoting and enforcing strong governance including applications, security and company standards
* Adherence to IT development procedures and standards
* User support and training.
* Liaison with external resource/service providers.
* Provide out-of-hours cover as part of the Standby Rota as required.
* Other duties as required from time to time.
Requirements:
* Relevant third level degree or equivalent and at least 2 years relevant experience
* Relevant Application Certification (e.g. Oracle) would be an advantage
* Good functional and technical knowledge of Oracle Financials with a proven track record in one or more of these modules (AP,CM,FA,iProc,PO,INV,PA,OTL and GL)
* Some working knowledge of at least one of the following applications: Oracle Hyperion, CoreHR & Payroll, Enterprise Datawarehouse and Business Objects
* Some "hands on" relevant experience in a customer facing role determining requirements for large scale business systems.
* Some Financial and/or HR skills
* Good communications and interpersonal skills
* Able to work as part of a time or individually as required
* Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others
* Experience with identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas and implementing solutions
* Have excellent analytical skills and be able to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
* Ability to set up on-going procedures to collect and review information as needed
* Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
* Ability to set own high standards of performance and delivering desired results
