Category Manager

An industry leading procurement organisation is seeking a Category Manager to manage a team of Buyers and Category Specialists and to formulate and deliver procurement strategy for the Professional Services spend area.



The role will require the successful candidate to define and drive category strategy for a diverse portfolio of professional services spend. In addition there will be direct line management responsibility for a team of Category Specialists and Buyers.



The role will require excellent people management skills, underpinned by sound category management principles gained from a large-scale organisation.



Although the organisation is a private sector business, they work with public sector organisations and procurement through the OJEU process. Therefore experience of OJEU processes will be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.



The successful candidate will have experience of people management coupled with strong category experience of the professional services category.
