Lantmännen Unibake UK is a leading supplier of high quality bakery products to retailers, wholesalers and the foodservice industry. We are part of a global business and in the UK have operations in Bagshot, Bedford, and Milton Keynes. Worldwide Lantmännen Unibake operates in 18 countries, with 23 bakeries and 70 manufacturing lines, producing 400,000t of pastries and bread per year. Lantmännen Unibake has an annual turnover of 797m and 3700 dedicated employees, with 650 based in the UK.
Our product range includes market leading Danish pastries, croissants, sweet treats, continental savouries, fast food breads and speciality breads.
The Role:
Reporting to the Human Resources Director and member of the HR Management team, the purpose of this role is to provide pro-active business partnering with full management responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely completion of weekly and salaried payroll processing and HMRC reporting for circa 650 employees.
Acting as the subject matter expert and working in close liaison with the Finance and wider HR team, you will take ownership of the payroll and benefits strategy and develop and implement cost effective solutions which are aligned with business objectives.
This hands-on role is diverse and challenging and is fundamental to strengthening our internal capability, value and reputation within the business.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate must have experience within Payroll & Benefits, a strong knowledge of UK tax law and Global Mobility and Expatriate processes along with experience of working within an international group. This job will suit someone who has a strong customer focused mind-set. You will need to be adept at building strong relations and have a strong business partnering approach as this role is the primary contact for all employee payroll and benefits queries. Due to the complexity of this role an in depth knowledge of Sage Payroll and T&A Management System is also essential. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, v look up, mail merges and use of macros would be highly advantageous as you will be responsible for implementing Excel workbooks to reduce the manual processing of payroll information. Qualifications:
- Qualified or part qualified payroll professional (CIPP dip or equivalent) preferred
- Tax qualifications (UK and International)
Benefits:
- 25 days holiday rising to 30 with time related service (FTE - to be pro rata for 4 day week)
- Hours: 4 days a week Monday Thursday / 30 hours per week
- Pension 3% matched by 5% from Lantmannen Unibake
- Death in service 3 x salary
