The Vendor Operations Analyst will be responsible to manage diverse day to day activities and projects with our different vendors in Europe. The position is part of the European Vendor Operations Team.
- Responsible for supply and demand activities, such as inventory capacity planning, order fulfillment and shipping, for one or more vendors in one or more countries, applying discretion and judgment.
- Compiles key metrics, produces reports, and analyzes data using IT systems for demand and supply matching activities, quality and reconciliation.
- Gathers demand data from country and region for demand planning.
- Reviews current business process for regional and global business unit planning teams
- Reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Negotiates cost of goods and drives diverse cost efficiency and reduction initiatives
- Collaborates across countries within a region.
- Typically partners with high-level Individual Contributors.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- First level university degree or equivalent experience
- Typically 0-2 years of experience in a supply chain function.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Good understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).
- Ideally has experience with supplier relationship management
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English or German. French and Italian are a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Understanding of project management methodology.
- Developing business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility
- Introduction to HP's overall supply chain strategy.
- Knowledge of inventory analysis, demand planning and forecasting
