APS6/EL1 Diversity Programs

Canberra, Australia, AU - Government Relations, Human Resources

  • Andrew Marshall 02 6112 7650

  • Contribute to a range of diversity programs

  • 6 month contract

A diverse workforce is one inclusive of people of various genders, ages, cultural backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people with physical and mental disabilities. But how many organisations in Australia can claim to truly have a diverse workforce? Many may meet the diversity criteria for one area, such as age, but fall short when it comes to another, such as gender representation.

As workplaces become more and more aware of having a diverse workforce, there is an increasing need to have resources focussing on developing and implementing Diversity strategies. Based on this need we have had interest from a number of agencies looking to engage HR practitioners with experience in Diversity space at the APS6 and EL1 level.

You will have experience in developing strategies around Diversity such as Access and Inclusion Plans and Reconciliation Action Plans. You will also demonstrate an ability to analyse HR metrics and related data on the employment of Indigenous staff, people with a disability, age and gender statistics and other related staffing categories.

In return you will be offered the opportunity to shape the strategic direction for an organisation in the area of Diversity, implement and manage programs such as Disability Advisors, improve employment conditions and opportunity for Indigenous candidates and influence retention rates for a range of gender, age and multicultural sections of the workforce. Indigenous candidates are encouraged to apply.
