Business Analyst, Intern
WW Marketing and Strategy is an agile group within HP's B Graphics Solutions Business. With a bright future, our strategic planning team is looking for energetic and capable talent to take it to the next level. We are seeking a university student enrolled in a Masters advanced degree program who is able to work in a business-analyst internship role at HP on a well-defined project with high visibility, supporting one of our strategic pillars of driving simple and compelling economics. This role is expected to last 10-12 weeks during the summer with the potential of a full-time position depending upon successful performance.
The job responsibilities include:
- Partnering with senior marketers across divisions to compile portfolio trends in various segments based on industry defined metrics where available
- Integrate competitive positioning for our various portfolio applications
- Analyze data for key market insights and highlight intelligence gaps
- Expounding on opportunities presented by findings
- Providing prioritized recommendations for further analysis and potential risks
- An opportunity to expand scope depending on discovery and business demands after meeting initial deliverable deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelors degree 1st year of Master's program completed
- Self starter. Someone who always finds a way to "get it done".
- Strong strategic thinking combined with proven ability to develop, lead and manage matrix processes and executing programs tactics at a world class level.
- Analytical ability to understand detailed data, trends and dissect industry data into actionable information.
- Ability to articulate ideas and findings to senior and executive management
- Ability to develop relationships and work cross functionally with other departments/teams.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools
- Working knowledge of marketing activities and practices and procedures
- Familiarity with and/or experience in business and marketing strategies
- Excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills; ability to manage virtual teams
- Strong negotiating skills
