An exciting opportunity to join a well established and historically successful organisation in Poole. A company that is looking to develop the finance department with a number of roles, including this Financial Accountant position for a technically good Qualified Accountant.
The primary functions of this role will be to ensure the integrity of accounting data, fulfil the various statutory reporting requirements and manage good running of the Payroll and Purchase Ledger functions. You will be responsible for the management of the financial accounting team. Manage certain the day-to day operations of the accounts department (P/L queries, GRNI balance, stock reconciliation to the Inventory system). Liaison with other departments across the business to establish the correct implementation of data. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain the fixed asset register and tracking of projects. Preparation of the Statutory Accounts, including corporation tax provision and management of the audit file. You will also assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects.
For this position it is essential that you are a Qualified Accountant with recent line management experience. You will need to be a good communicator and able to challenge and deliver effectively, at all levels.
