Financial Accountant - Belfast - £40,000 - 10 Month Maternity Cover - June Start



Are you an experienced Financial Accountant ready to begin a fantastic new contract job? Do you have strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting principles? This could be the role for you!



Hays is delighted to be the sole recruiting partner for a leading NI Top 100 business. We are seeking to recruit a qualified Financial Accountant for a period of 10 months to cover a period of maternity leave within the business. This job is due to start at the beginning of June and will last for approximately 10 months, or longer dependent upon business needs.



Duties:

· Production of monthly management accounts for a large number of group companies

· Monthly calculation and processing the monthly PFI sales invoices

· Monthly analysis and production of finance operational models and KPI reports

· Review of monthly control accounts

· Responsibility for overseeing work of junior staff

· Assisting the Finance Director with quarterly forecasting and annual budgets

· Preparation of quarterly bank reports



Criteria:

· Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

· Third Level Degree (Minimum 2:1)

· Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS reporting processes

· Strong IT knowledge including MS Excel

· Experience in implementation of ERP systems (Preferred)

· Track record of working to tight deadlines
