General Job Description
The Collections Analyst shows abilities to solve a variety of common business issues. He/she works on problems/projects of moderately complex scope, exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. The Analyst acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. He/she follows established guidelines and interprets policies, evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Responsibilities:
PORTFOLIO & CUSTOMER/ INTERNAL PARTNER ENGAGEMENT:
• Medium to High value accounts, including Public Sector and Government customers
• Learn customer infrastructure, processes and escalation contacts as needed to enhance customer experience, obtain payments, identify and resolve issues as fast as possible
• Proactively make regular contact with customers via phone, fax or email
• Respond and follow up promptly on customer requests or issues
• Document all collections activities and key customer payment behavior details in designated system/local files following standard commenting procedures
ESCALATIONS AND INTERNAL COLLABORATION
• Escalate issues following standard processes to C&C resources to internal partners (Sales, Business Finance, Order Management, Logistics) or customer contacts exercising independent judgment and building positive relationships
• Identify disputed items and assign to appropriate owners, escalating to drive resolution as needed
PLANNING AND GOVERNANCE
• Independently prioritize actions and workload to meet/exceed metrics.
• Forecast month-end/quarter end aging results for assigned portfolio.
• Exercise independent judgment in compliance with C&C policies and processes, audit standards, SOX standards and other regulatory requirements
• Provide reports, analysis or other information as requested
• Lead or participate in projects at team, region or global level as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• First level university degree with a focus in business or economics recommended or equivalent experience
• Typically 2-4 years of experience in collections
Native German + add. Language desired ( Dutch/Nordic)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Very good negotiation and influencing abilities
• Very good prioritization skills & ability to work independently and with low supervision
• Attention to detail and proven analytical skills
• Intermediate accounting knowledge will be considered a plus
