- The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Evaluate suppliers for production capability & quality management. - Define quality metrics to control processes from IQC through OQC and acceptance at the point of use. Monitor and feedback field data to improve quality. - Partner with suppliers to define process steps and identify CTQ points in the flow. This includes process mapping & optimization, FMEA, Dfx, identify and develop fixtures, line balancing, test plan development etc - Define and drive needed process changes at the vendor to ensure product quality. - Setup process controls, data collection & analysis, FA, corrective action and reporting for early detection and correction, continual improvement. - Monitor supplier’s performance weekly through measurement of production line statistics, System level performance at CM and in the field, company inspections/ audits. Publish Supplier/Product Health Card highlighting issues & plans to address them - Provide leadership to suppliers and Apple team in resolving complex product/ process technical issues utilizing quality and problems solving tools - Early engagement in development activities working with cross functional product teams & suppliers in understanding and resolving technical issues, early detection and highlighting Quality risks to core teams and management - Interface with Cupertino SQE and Engineering teams to drive actions back into the supply chain based on Voice of Customer and any issues seen in the supply chain, to impact current and future products



Education


- Minimum EE/ME with 5+ years experience in SMT, welding, soldering, plastic extrusion, sheet metal stamping technology or equivalent
