My client is a large Government organisation who require a Security Architect with IT Security experience, ISO27001 knowledge in detail plus BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) with DS Clearance for a critical role in their Plymouth office.



As Security Architect, the successful candidate will be responsible for the company's Security Architecture and be expected to be the Subject Matter Expert for IT security Architecture working between business and IS to ensure appropriate and pragmatic solutions are developed and maintained. Your role will see you act as a key member of project board/teams with critical implications for security architecture, Liaising with the Senior Data Architect to ensure compliant data governance structures are introduced in accordance with the Data Security policy.



To be considered, you must have wide knowledge and experience of technology and practice in the fields of IT and Data Security. You will have a proven ability in drafting major policies for organisations, with knowledge of Central Government Information Assurance policies and views on IT and data security. You must have detailed knowledge of ISO27001 and certification, and must also be BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) Security Cleared. A Professional Qualification in IT Security would be an advantage.



Due to the nature of the role, you must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
