Assistant Accountant

Hays are pleased to be working on this exciting new opportunity for a talented and motivated assistant accountant to join a company in Poole with excellent career progression.



This is a fantastic chance to join a highly respected employer and take on a varied and challenging accounting role. This position will ideally suit an accounting professional with a strong performance record that has started their ACCA/CIMA studies.



Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:



Authorising invoice payments

Investigating expenses

VAT work

Bank reconciliations

Working with different currencies

Purchase Ledger work

Various administration duties

Providing crucial support to management

Budgets & costing work



Applicants must possess:

Proven current experience as an assistant accountant/Assistant Accountant

Part Qualification with a professional body OR Experience in a work setting

Highly developed communication skills

High degree of IT literacy and ability to utilise accounting software / systems

Intermediate Excel user
