Support Technical Consultant - HP Cloud

The HP Public Cloud Support Team is looking for passionate and enthusiastic Technical Solutions Consultants to focus on HP's Public Cloud offering, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. You will be part of a dynamic group seeking to make every customer a customer advocate.



The right individual will bring "Customer First" to life with a velvet touch by engaging our customers in web-centric support channels, listening and understanding our customers, then acting with knowledge and passion. Taking ownership for resolving technical issues, listening to our customers' needs, and contributing to self-service technical resources are all critical to success in this position.





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



In this role, you will be responsible for:


  • Using interactive tools including chat, forums, email, monitoring and other web based social media to exceed customer expectations

  • Interacting with all levels of customers and escalate when appropriate

  • Gathering necessary data for issue replication, problem determination and/or escalation

  • Isolating and when possible, resolving service performance issues

  • Providing an outstanding customer experience, go the extra mile in everything you do






Qualifications
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE



You will have many of the following skills and attributes:




  • 1-3 years of software technical support experience – preferably within a cloud environment

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, HTML, HTML5, XML, PHP, SOAP, REST, .NET, Ruby, Ruby on Rails

  • Passion for customers and helping to resolve issues with efficiency and expediency

  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact with customers, developers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams

  • Basic Linux knowledge preferred – we operate in a Linux environment


Brownie points if you have:


  • Development experience with REST API's related to IaaS and PaaS

  • Strong knowledge of network technologies including firewalls, TCP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, and load balancing
