Description



Set, contribute and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develops, modifies, and executes software test strategies, plans and procedures. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results, processes and metrics to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.

Applies basic foundation of the function and principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.



Responsibilities

• Contributes to and executes established test plans, processes, and protocols for assigned test projects running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet-based platforms; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.


• Codes and programs test scripts, automation, and test integration activities based on specific test requirements.


• Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced Team members, development partners, and internal customers on software test and Quality Assurance.


• Participates as a member of a global project team of other software Quality Assurance leads, engineers, technicians and internal and outsourced quality assurance partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality Test solutions for low to moderately-complex products.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Electrical Engineering, or equivalent


• Minimum 0-2 years experience

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience or understanding of software development quality assurance & test processes.


• Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures as it applies to software Quality Assurance


• Good analytical and problem solving skills.


• A fundamental understanding of design for test of software executing on multiple platform types such as Industry Standard Servers and Options, Storage Solutions and network infrastructure.


• Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.


• Collaborates with peers.


• Typically partners and interacts with high-level Individual Contributors and/or team leads.


• Support projects requiring software development/integration, software performance tuning/measurement, and new product/upgrade Quality Assurance.


• Maintains documentation of testing, processes, results, and metrics to assist in project understanding, debugging, reporting, and successful completion.
