This position will be primarily responsible for the Bayer MaterialScience LLC inventory reconciliations for consignment and toll manufacturing activity. As part of the reconciliation process, the incumbent must identify differences and resolve the differences by working with the customer, toll manufacturer, BMS management and business representatives, supply chain personnel or accounting department. The position will also include leading or participating in physical inventories at consignment customers and toll manufacturers to confirm inventory balances.

More specifically related to this role, the incumbent will have these responsibilities:



• In performing the monthly reconciliations for over 1,000 Bayer materials each month, the person must be very detail oriented while being efficient to ensure all reconciliations are completed on a timely basis;

• The incumbent must communicate and work with customers, suppliers and various levels of BMS management to resolve any inventory reconciling items or obtain additional information;

• The incumbent must use financial judgment to resolve inventory differences and prioritize significant items;

• This position is responsible for coordinating physical inventory verifications for the consignment and toll manufacturers. This will include the need to visit the locations of the various customers and toll manufacturers;

• As with all positions within the Central Controlling CoE, ad hoc assignments and “overflow” tasks and analyses from other areas of the Controlling will likely be assigned on a regular basis.
