Financial Accountant

My Client, an established, growing and respected Financial Services business based in Preston have approached Hays to source and place a Financial Accountant within the business. This new role, based within an already established finance department shall report directly to the Head Of Finance and take full responsibility for the production of statutory financial statements together with developing and enhancing the Groups financial control environment.



As the Financial Accountant you shall produce statutory financial statements for all group companies together with the group consolidation. Liaising directly with senior management for preparation of the directors and strategic reports you shall also take control of the audit process for the department, the planning, hard close and final audit result. Responsible for ensuring that consolidations and intra-group balances are kept up to date and reconciled there is an importance to review the internal controls of the finance department and recommend changes and improvements when necessary.

With a purely Financial slant you shall also take control of Tax compliance for the Group and manage the regulatory reporting for the Group.



The role lends a way in which the successful applicant shall be able to calve their own destiny within the organisation. With the opportunity to diversify and grow with the business there is a clear progression path and strong working ethic within the group. As the business grows so too will the opportunity within.



In order to be considered for this role you shall have a strong academic background, ideally be ACA qualified and have practise experience within Tax and Audit. The business will however consider applications from Candidates with similar accounting qualifications. With a technical mindset and strong financial knowledge you shall be rewarded with a competitive salary and package.
