Internship positions at HP afford college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in a specific area of study. Working in a fast-paced, professional setting provides interns with invaluable experience, while applying the knowledge and skills learned in school in a business environment. Interns work alongside and in support of a group of world-class professionals in real product and solution development.



This EE Hardware internship will be focused on supporting innovative sensor solutions in HP mobility product and accessories. The responsibilities include research on technology trends, use of experience centric development model to distill performance target, propose /recommend best sensor/sensor fusion solutions.



Due to budget constraints only candidates local to Palo Alto, CA or willing to relocate to Palo Alto, CA without assistance from HP will be considered for this role.



Candidates must be currently enrolled full time in bachelors or graduate degreed program. The ideal candidate will have completed their 3rd year of their program.



For this role we can consider US Citizens or Permanent US Residents but due to time constraints we are unable to consider visa holders.



Candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer of 2015, with a start date in May or early June. All work will be done at our Palo Alto location.



Qualifications
Qualifications




  • Currently attending college as junior, senior in a bachelors degree program or pursuing graduate programs (must be enrolled full time for the Spring 2015).

  • Pursuing degree on Electrical Engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field. Must have completed junior level course requirement in electrical and/or computer engineering

  • GPA 3.0 or better

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Well organized, strong work ethic, pay attention to details, self-motived, enthusiastic and passionate for the work.

  • Strong team work

  • Capability to quickly learn and adapt.




Availability:


  • Full-time, throughout summer of 2015

  • Part-time, throughout fall/spring of 2015/2016
