Reporting to the CFO this is a new position with responsibility for financial management reporting, annual budgeting and forecasting processes. You will manage a team of 7 (including payroll) and will be responsible for developing a department who continually strive to improve business processes. You and the department will deliver first class management and financial information to support business decisions across the organisation. Your ability to engage with budget holders will be critical and developing their understanding of financial issues will be key to the success of this role. Other stakeholders will include external auditors, HMRC, Skill Funding Agency and governors.

You will be a fully qualified accountant and have significant experience of all aspects of financial management, with a strong focus on financial analysis and data presentation. You will be fully committed to improving the quality of the financial information and providing robust data to improve business decisions. A business partnering approach supporting departments meet their financial targets will be a key objective. You will appreciate the need to adapt and change in an evolving environment, and will have strong commercial acumen
