Due to a Machinery of Government transition, a long term contract opportunity is available for a senior government lawyer who has a strong Commercial law background.



Reporting to the Principal Legal Officer, there is a strong need to supply expert advice as they commence a number of complex procurement reviews relating to Telecommunications and IT services and contracts. Your role will be to provide advice to the business and procurement teams relating to revisions, transitioning and merging. In addition, you will communicate to the business in a manner that supports the strategy and provide administrative support and drafting requirements with limited supervision.



A second role is also available for a more generalist Commercial Government lawyer who is keen to work on broader contracts, procurement advice and probity.



You will bring 5 years PAE as a Commercial lawyer within Government and ideally a level of expertise in ICT procurement and complex contracts advice but again, this is not essential for the 2nd role. You will be a team player, joining a small team where collaboration and customer care is imperative. You will be passionate and professional and have the ability to adapt to a changing brief where ambiguity is expected and initiative essential.

A minimum baseline security clearance is essential.
