Apple is seeking a software build system engineer for one of Apple's largest applications teams. This build system is a sophisticated, distributed and constantly evolving software system that is one of the foundations of our ability to make great consumer apps for Mac and iOS.

Key Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motived and detail-oriented
• Understands the software development lifecycle, with strong knowledge of software engineering practices: continuous integration, configuration management

Description

Improve and maintain build automation for Continuous integration using Jenkins
System Administration, maintenance and upgrade of build cluster on regular basis
Recommend Support and extend build and release tools and process
Proactively improve build process
Identify, Implement and maintain branching models
Able to identify/implement and maintain merge process

Education

BS in Computer Science or equivalent
5 years experience in build/release engineering

Additional Requirements

Source control: Subversion,Git
OS X or BSD UNIX
General Linux system administration-level knowledge and system level debugging skills
Experience building C/C /Java development projects
Expert scripting ability (BASH,PERL, Python …)
Some experience with database (sqlite,MySQL)
