The role of Principal Application Architect will be a key position within the Group Technology, Strategy and Operations, ,Consumer IT Delivery team in Newbury (UK).

The Principal Application Architect will be responsible for the detailed end-to-end BI application/solution strategy directly managing the team of Senior Application Architects which support best practice, standards, assurance and re-use for the key BI technologies across Local Market and Group BI projects.

As Principal Application Architect your main responsibilities will involve:

• Maintain strong understanding of the capabilities, strengths and weaknesses of the key BI technologies across Vodafone.
• Own the overall strategy and design for re-use in the delivery of BI
• Ownership of the end to end Integrated BI Solution (IBIS), a Vodafone designed and built BI solution.
• Manage and guide the team of BI Senior Application Architects to own and manage the set of BI re-usable assets

As Principal Application Architect your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Practical experience of implementing large BI systems
• Extensive in-depth knowledge of a broad spectrum of BI technologies
• Significant experience of building and deploying re-usable and configurable solutions
• Significant experience of the different delivery approaches for BI
• Able to communicate and influence effectively across a range of technology stakeholders
