Role:
As a System Administrator you will provide technical support for application infrastructure and related services throughout the lifecycle of a project. You will work with the key customers and/or internal businesses/end user representatives to retain customers and support as well as build the business.
Responsibilities:
· Deliver technical projects in an innovative and fast-paced environment
· Contribute technically to the projects in architecture, design and development
· Create and update infrastructure and application configuration documentation
· Prepare detailed design documentation based on user requirements
· Perform installations and upgrades of software in cloud and on premise environments
· Work closely with cross functional teams and proactively work on issues
· Provide technical input in customer facing engagements
· Develop migration import and export processes to and from mail archives
· Develop “big data” analysis processes for large email archives
· Develop scripts and automation tasks to support implementation and deployment requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong technical and professional skills
- Basic understanding of networking technologies
- Basic understanding of storage technologies
- Basic understanding of web applications
- Experience with database technologies: DB2, PostgreSQL, MS SQL
- Programming experience in a few of these languages: Javascript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, Java/J2EE, perl is a plus
- Familiarity with agile development methodology
- Expertise in problem solving and technical innovation.
- Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple overlapping projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Windows environments (Active Directory, GPOs)
- Experience working directly with customers in a professional environment
- Flexible schedule to allow up to 25-50% travel to locations within the U.S. and abroad
- B.S. / M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Cloud-based solutions
- Experience working with high volume transaction systems
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate and other Java frameworks
- Experience with Citrix is a plus
- Experience with Linux virtualization technologies is a plus: Xen, KVM
- Experience with Unix/Linus (CentOS, redhat)
- Experience with Monitoring Tools
- Experience with MS Exchange, IIS
- Experience with JBOSS, Apache Tomcat
- Experience with Active Directory/LDAP
- Experience with HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, DNS, SSL, SSH
