As a Field Service Engineer you are the focal point to our clients in need of immediate on-site technical assistance (potentially out of hours). You follow-up on the remote diagnosis and resolve it as quickly as possible in order to enable your client to remain operational at all times. You’ll be expected to install, configure, maintain and repair systems. Furthermore, you demonstrate a proactive approach and contribute to maintenance related activities. The systems you work on are highly complex but need quick learning and understanding. You have the ability to rapidly identify the nature of (complex) issues and to provide optimal solutions. You keep yourself continuously updated with the latest developments within the industry.
The HP Indigo service team for the Benelux is looking for a professional with an intermediate or higher vocational technical background covering both mechanics and electronics with at least three years of experience in a similar field engineer position and environment. Ideally within the graphic and/or digital press industry. You are passionate about what you do and understand the importance of client focus. You will be travelling across Belgium (and exceptionally in the Netherlands) to serve the extended customer base for clients in need of on-site technical support. Dedication, teamwork and a proactive attitude are your primary qualities. You have the ability to interact at all levels of the organization whether internally or externally. You are a problem solver and appreciate quick action and measurable results. You enjoy a diverse working environment and feel that you can bring true added-value to a team. You have excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
Qualifications
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years of experience. Advanced knowledge in the field of electro-mechanical technology
• Previous field experience with support of high end digital printing presses or complex electro-mechanical industrial products
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with installation and break down of industrial equipment,
• Strong troubleshooting skills down to electronics component level
• Willingness to travel
• Valid driving license
• Strong interrelation skills
• Strong English, French and Dutch language skills
• Geographical location: North of Brussels
