An excellent opportunity for a CIPD qualified HR Manager / HR Generalist to join an highly regarded public sector organisation in Edinburgh city centre. This is a 6 month contract HR job that requires an immediate start.



You will be responsible for leading a busy HR team in the provision of a proactive HR advisory service. You will ensure that HR management operates within the requirements of relevant statutory legislation and develop, update and communicate HR policies and procedures that promote the principles of HR Best Practice.You will undertake regular consultation and negotiation with trade unions on HR matters.



The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level or equivalent with CIPD membership. You will have relevant work experience in a similar HR role, with previous experience for managing a HR support operation. Skilled in both analytical and problem solving and staff management, you will possess the ability to prioritise and deliver across a broad range of work to deadlines and in pressure situations. Previous experience of job evaluation techniques is desirable.
